A Tiramisu is a coffee-flavoured Italian dessert. It is made of ladyfingers dipped in coffee, layered with mascarpone cheese mixture .

Ingredients

  • 400 Grams Mascarpone
  • 5 Egg yolks
  • 150 ml Sugar
  • 400 ml Whipping Cream
  • 200 ml Espresso
  • Ladyfingers
  • Cacao Powder

Instructions

  • Beat the mascarpone well in a bowl and till light and airy.
  • Next beat the egg yolks and the sugar over warm water in in a bowl.
  • The mixture, should be light and fluffy.
  • Once finished, Add the the egg mixture into the mascarpone and beat well.
  • In another bowl, beat the whipping cream until soft peaks form.
  • Combine the whipping cream into the egg mixture in parts and fold well.
  • Only start with a layer of ladyfingers dipped into espresso for seconds and then add the cream mixture and repeat that twice.
  • Chill overnight
  • Dust with cocoa powder and serve once it is out of the fridge.
